1.Resin cleaning method

 Polyester resin or epoxy resin is used for machine cleaning. It is generally used to clean the machine of new equipment or after the extruder has been used for a period of time. Because some materials remain on the screw or barrel and gelatinize, the material extrusion speed slows down, and this method can be used when the color difference between color-changing varieties is large.

2. Disassembly and cleaning

1. Manually add the washing material from the discharge port until the extruded material strip has the same color as the washing material pellets, stop feeding, empty the material, and stop the screw rotation of the twin-screw extruder;

2. Open the screw extruder die head and start cleaning;

3. Turn the screw of the twin-screw extruder and take out the orifice plate, discharge the residual washing material in the barrel, and clean the orifice plate;

4. Stop and pull out the screw to see if it is clean, and manually remove the remaining material on the screw. Reinstall the screw; add new material to flush out the residual washing material in the barrel and stop the screw rotation;

5. Install the twin-screw extruder orifice plate and die head to complete the cleaning operation of the twin-screw extruder.

3. Fire roasting method

Using fire or roasting to remove plastic stuck on the screw is the most common and most effective method seen in plastic processing units. Use a blowtorch to clean the screw immediately after use. Because the screw carries heat from the processing experience at this time, the heat distribution of the screw is still uniform.
